Crab Apple is a native deciduous hedging plant – they can be planted individually or as part of a hedge. From March though May Crab Apple will flower in white and pink blossom and then bear fruit in the Autumn months. Crab apple can be planted in any soil condition and will grow in full sun or shade. Crab apple will attract wildlife to your garden – the blossom is very popular with bees, and its abundance of fruit in the autumn and winter will attract birds and other insects. Plant 5 per metre in a staggered double row to form a dense hedgerow.
